It was evident that this message I carried, this thought of words was eagerly awaited. It's amazing how each one of them, felt her impact, the desire to fulfill her legacy. The hearts that were touched. I did not expect them to laugh so sincerely, chuckle with a tinge of tears drooling down their dusted cheekbones. They wrinkled with laughter, my smile backing theirs. We were honored to celebrate her, to praise her soaring spirit. I was proud to speak my mind, tell it like it is. Plain and simple the way she lived her life.
