Signals that your hobby could turn into a career

Tusker Project Fame, Sakata dance, America’s best dance crew, the list goes on and on.... You have been watching countless TV programs and are juggling the remote between the palms of your hands, constantly gazing at your clock, wondering when the next episode will be aired.  You keep replaying in your mind, how the 'sakata' dancers spin in the air amidst the metallic music background that is blaring past their synchronized movements.  By now, you have mimicked the countless PLG songs being played, replayed a few melodic tunes in the shower and even attempted a back flip right in front of your father’s living room.  That must really hurt! Does it? It has always been this way, you find yourself doing this over and over again. You have rehearsed the intricate dance move; where you swing your body and parade your arms over your warrior face. There is a quick giggle buzzing in your head,  and you start to realize that you can be better at this. You enjoy doing i

Fighting with a Peaceful Spirit

He sat down and gathered the cognitive texts. With a compelling face he narrowed his view towards my eyes. A naughty sneer spread across his face, he emptied his words carefully, as if to reassure me.  I sat there with my pen tapping against my notebook, nodding in dismay, staring at his creased face. I anchored my body forward, my ears zooming into his tunnel of words, listening intently… "Listen my child, they call me Pehepo", he mumbled. "I have a fighting spirit, i have seen rage and war tormenting our peaceful spirits. Tell your generation, in your own way, not to be led in this doubtful path, to keep their spirits at peace all the time"  His words were uttered with precision, a unique literature, so sophisticated and spirited. He coughed slightly, perhaps an indication of the passing years. With every brooding word he uttered, he carefully scratched his salty textured hair, urging me to gain insight.

The Dream

Photo courtesy of  9gag My head lies at the corner of my square shaped bed. My eyes peering into the stillness of an empty roof.  Endless thoughts are settling with ease, I am gathering the ones i want to keep.  An image glares past my eyeballs and there you are..... It's crystal clear I can almost count the tinted expressions on your face. A world of smileys are in-printed on your oval face. I particularly like the one-eye gun salute the way one eye shoots open while the other creases shut, a clear reflection of who you are.  A tickle of laughter stammers my expression of you.  I feel like we are in a different world now,  a different space in time, like Mars is holding me captive.   You are far away, beyond the misty mountains of Africa. I am tempted to flee paradise because everything my mind chants is good to be true.  I want to run away , run past the champs of the valley, cross the canopy of the highlands and land to the Egypt of the sun. I want to find you there.  D

The Psychology of Man

Photo courtesy of  Advancedcognitivepsychology I found one of those ' Sacred   books '.  This book was special. The cover was not the 'usual' women's books. The kind that greets you with shiny sprinkled flowers and screaming pink petals. No, t he cover was a Man .   He stood there with his sassy smile, plain and simple, notably exhibiting signs that he was the author.  He dared me intuitively to open this condensed book, pages slightly below my usual huge feminine reams.  The opening statement was carefully crafted and i had a sudden cognitive urge to quickly flip through the book.... My oh my! the minute i got tagged onto the intro, I knew i was going to read this entire book!   Let's say it took me the whole day, to flip, gnaw, criticize, but yes i did it...read and got disturbed!  So this is dedicated to our girlfriends-sisters out there, who have been urging me to let this canon loose...! Come aboard ladies, here is a re
